League of Women Voters schedules
three forums ahead of Nov. 4 election
VANCOUVER, Wash. – The League of Women Voters of Clark County has scheduled three candidate forums ahead of the Nov. 4 general election.
Candidates for Camas and Washougal city councils and the Port of Camas-Washougal Commission will participate in a forum Sept. 6 at the Camas Public Library.
On Sept. 24, candidates for Vancouver mayor and Vancouver City Council, Positions 1 and 2, will answer questions at the Vancouver Community Library.
And an Oct. 10 forum at the Vancouver library will feature those running for Vancouver and Evergreen school boards, Clark Regional Wastewater District commission and Vancouver City Council, Position 3.
The public is invited to attend the forums in person or to watch them on government access channel CVTV or cvtv.org.
The nonpartisan League of Women Voters was founded by leaders of the women’s suffrage movement in 1920; for 105 years, the League has worked to empower voters and defend democracy.
