League to host Feb. 13 primary panel discussion

The Clark County League of Women Voters will host a panel discussion on the upcoming presidential primary from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at Washington State University Vancouver.
The event, titled “Donut Miss the Presidential Primary in March: How is it Different from Other Elections?” is co-sponsored by the Associated Students of WSUV.
Speakers will include Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey, WSUV professor and former congressional candidate Carolyn Long, and representatives from the county’s Democratic and Republican parties.
Yes, doughnuts will be provided.
Kimsey will describe the presidential primary election process and importance of voting. Long will discuss various aspects of the primary system.
Party representatives will discuss how the primary results are used to allocate Washington delegates to their respective national conventions.
Students from WSUV and Clark College, as well as the general public, are invited. The panel will be held in the main room of the Firstenburg Student Commons.
Parking will be available in Lot B for $5.
